Multiple Instruments on One Document
When a document is presented for recording that appears to be one single document, but includes what would be considered more than one instrument the Register of Deeds must make index entries as if the presented document is more than one instrument when the title of each instrument contained is on the first page of the document. The presenter must pay recording fees with an extra registration fee of $10.00 for each additional document and each must contain two or more instruments with different legal intentions. Each must be entitled, separately executed and acknowledged. Therefore, each instrument should be reflected as though it could be recorded alone. The document(s) will be indexed accordingly.
